Create deviceConfiguration

Note: Using the Microsoft Graph APIs to configure Intune controls and policies still requires that the Intune service is correctly licensed by the customer.

Create a new deviceConfiguration by posting to the deviceConfigurations collection.

Prerequisites

One of the following scopes is required to execute this API:

DeviceManagementConfiguration.ReadWrite.All

Request body

In the request body, supply a JSON representation of a deviceConfiguration object. The following table shows the properties that are required when you create a deviceConfiguration.

Property Type Description
id String Key of the entity.
lastModifiedDateTime DateTimeOffset DateTime the object was last modified.
createdDateTime DateTimeOffset DateTime the object was created.
description String Admin provided description of the Device Configuration.
displayName String Admin provided name of the device configuration.
version Int32 Version of the device configuration.

Response

If successful, this method returns a 201 Created response code and a deviceConfiguration object in the response body.
